A little longer welcome

We’re Sophia and Mike, and we’re the married couple behind this platform. A very short version of a much longer story is that we grabbed our most treasured belongings and moved from 2nd St in Manhattan, NY, to an island in the archipelago of Stockholm, Sweden, in August 2017, in search for a quieter and (preferably) stress-free life, much closer to nature. That happened to be exactly what we found, and here we are now – two countryfolk who are either wearing rubber boots or trail running shoes, avoiding the city life pace like the plague and loving everything nature and outdoor sports related. Oh, and we also grow a quite massive amount of vegetables.

On this website – and our Instagram account under the same name – we’re gathering everything that we like and therefore want to share. Here, you’ll find a plethora of green recipes, considerate towards your wallet as well as the planet, blog posts on everything under the sun and a bunch of stories from the running races we’ve so far participated in. The tabs will guide you just right, once you’re ready to take part.

We believe life is best lived when focus is on the small stuff. Extravagant habits and careerism are things of the past, for us – instead, we keep our costs low and thereby have time to do what we truly want and love. This way, we’re making both ourselves and Mother Nature much, much happier – and that’s a pretty great combination, in the end. We sincerely hope you’ll find lots of interesting content here, and hey – send us a message if you’d like. We love it when people say hi!

All the best,
Sophia and Mike
